Message from the Teacher Mrs. Johanna Edelson

My name is Johanna, and I’ve been teaching for a little over twenty years.  Most recently, I taught middle and high school English Language Learners in Dover-Sherborn, but I’ve also taught several college courses and served as an advisor for adults studying to earn their high school diplomas.  Learning about my students and their unique backgrounds is one of my passions. Currently, I live in Natick with my husband, Dave, my thirteen-year-old son, Ryan, and our adorable dog, Roxie. 

In this course, I’d like to help you improve your writing in English.  Some types of writing that I could teach to you are:

• Career-specific writing 

• Literary Analysis

• Persuasive Writing

• Cover Letters

• Resume writing

I also enjoy reading, so we could discuss common books and write our responses to challenging questions about the book.  In this way, I can help you edit all aspects of your writing. Overall, your interests and needs are important to me, so those will help to shape the class.
